Who are we?

Hi, I’m Julie Barber and I set up and manage Translation & Secretarial Services. I am a certified French to English translator specialising in business, legal and NGO translations.

I work alongside other experienced and qualified professionals to cover a range of languages and topics. If your project can’t be completed in-house, I aim to match it to the right expert translator! I always remain your sole point of contact to take the fuss out of the translation process for you. All translators who work with T&S Services are suitably qualified for any projects allocated to them. Each linguist is specifically chosen for their area of specialisation and professionalism.

Background

In addition to being a translator, I have a background in Company Secretarial work. This field covers the administration of board meetings, share registration, incorporating companies, communicating with Companies House (the British trade register), and much more! I combine my translation and Company Secretarial skills to offer you niche corporate translation services.

Over the years, I have worked for companies of all sizes. I spent 18 years working for the board of a subsidiary of the Bouygues Group, a French multinational corporation, in central London. My extensive experience in companies helps me to understand my corporate clients’ challenges and objectives.

Fun fact: I am English but I speak French with a southern accent originating from the town of Toulouse, where I once lived! I was lucky enough to spend 5 years living in France and I have carried on speaking French ever since.
